FAQs

  • Some strategies include helping with household tasks, offering emotional support, encouraging self care, and getting educated on pregnancy, labor, and childbirth. During labor, you can provide comfort measures, words of affirmation, and a reassuring presence. Be open to whatever mom needs and have flexibility in the birth process. I know pregnancy and birth are foreign to you, but it’s so important to show interest, learn what to expect, and how to best support your wife during this life-changing experience. It’s hard to know where to start. That’s why I strongly encourage partner involvement and a one-on-one check-in for spouses included in my services.

  • There are many benefits to a natural birth including increased bonding with infant through early breastfeeding and skin-to-skin contact, improved birth experience and decreased likelihood of birth trauma, and it’s safe for nearly all healthy, low-risk pregnancies.
